About J.C. Grigg
J.C. Grigg has spent his life on stage. The son of two touring professional singers, he grew up on Sinatra and Elvis, then found his own voice in 80s rock. He sang in a boy band with Joey Fatone before NSYNC, signed an early deal with Bosstown Records, and in 1996 was named United States Amateur Singer of the Year. Today he fronts the band Pieces of Eight and has shared the stage several times with Keith Howland, guitarist for Chicago for 27 years.
In March 2024, a serious fall after a show left him with a traumatic brain injury. He had to relearn how to walk, how to talk, and how to sing. It took nearly a year of therapy, and he rebuilt his voice from scratch. What came back was more than his voice. It was a calling.
As a boy, J.C. climbed out his bedroom window onto the shed roof to look at the stars and ask for answers. That boy became Johnny, and those nights became Pax in the Mirror Image and the world of Johnny's Universe: stories that give kids a simple tool called Two for You, a pause before they choose.
J.C. is a creative mind who builds whole worlds. He creates the characters, writes the stories, and writes and sings the songs behind Johnny's Universe, a growing world of heroes, villains, books, and music. Every character starts with something real, and he brings that same craft to other people's projects.
A 100% disabled veteran and the founder of Phoenix Rising Entertainment, J.C. lives by one line: Some people break. Others rise.
Some people break. Others rise.

“I've had the privilege to share the stage with J.C. Grigg on several occasions. He is an exceptional entertainer, vocalist, and all around good guy!”
